I got my currency card from a Thomas Cook in Brighton yesterday... exchange rate was 1.84 AUS$ per 1 GBP... tried getting a card for Karen t the same time but couldn't as it needs proof of ID and the signature of the person.
Turns out this worked in Karen's favour - went in and get her card from Thomas Cook in Worthing and she got 2.01 AUS$ per 1 GBP!!!
Outrageous! She's the equivalent of £200 better off than me. Only upside is that we split the joint money across the cards so I benefit from that...
Hmmph!
